When comfort and performance meet
Since the beginning, TIME's longstanding mission has been to: offer products that combine comfort and performance for the modern cyclist. The ideal cycling shoe is adapted to the human body.
Comfort
Because footwear is the primary point of contact between the cyclist and forward momentum, the shoe must feel comfortable and supportive in order to ensure proper pedaling efficiency. TIME has worked on three areas to ensure a cyclist’s supreme comfort: the last, the inner sole, and the materials.
Last and upper structure
Every foot is unique, and we wanted to challenge ourselves to exceed the comfort and performance expectations of all cyclists. So we took this opportunity to propose something different. Thanks to our research and development center in Montebelluna, as well as our vast experience in footwear development, we devoted years to identifying the ideal shoe’s form to be, adapted for high-performance cycling.
Inner sole structure, Sensor 2 system
The cycling footwear market offers many solutions that revolve principally around stiffness. However, we prioritize our focus on the importance of fit. Our goal was to maintain uncompromised rigidity while also limiting muscular fatigue. We use a specifically designed foam material to deliver a long--lasting damping effect. This foam and the footbed design comprise the Sensor 2 system. This interface is especially active in the metatarsal area of the foot in order to limit the amount of vibrations to which feet are subjected during pedaling.
The Sensor 2+ inner sole is specific to the OSMOS 15 shoes. We added high-density EVA inserts in the metatarsal zone, in order to optimize power transfer. This sole is more rigid than the OSMOS 10’s and OSMOS 12’s soles, which are more finely tuned for comfort.
Upper materials
We utilize a range of materials to craft a supportive upper structure that offers exceptional breathability, impeccable durability, and an overall lightweight shoe.
Low stack height with TIME's cleats
Bioposition refers to the distance between the outsole and the pedal spindle. A minimal bioposition improves pedaling efficiency and power transfer. With the combination
of TIME’s cleat, pedal, and shoe, TIME offers one of the most minimal biopositions on the market.
All TIME shoes are compatible with other pedals, without the need for any adaptors.
