Our tubes are braided from single filaments of carbon fiber and other materials giving us exact control of fiber material, orientation and placement. This process makes a TIME frame more durable and stiff while retaining a smooth ride.
Unlike production with prepreg carbon sheets, dry braided carbon socks are pulled over removable rigid cores. The cores create precise inner shapes...as precise as the outer molds.
RESIN TRANSFER MOLDING
Resin is injected AFTER the carbon "socks" are pulled over removable rigid cores. This reduces the amount of resin required, creates exact outer and inner shape and preserves the original placement of layup.
A 100% carbon frame
Our dropouts, stem plates and ADH seat clamps are made from a carbon/resin matrix, compressed under a few tons of pressure and heat. This produces super light, extremely durable parts that are normally made of metal alloys.
